Abarca de Campos is located in the heart of Tierra de Campos, in a fertile territory marked by the crossing of the Valdeginate River with the Canal de Castilla.

The first written mention of the town appears in a document from the year 916, which confirms its early foundation.

In the 12th century, Abarca came under the control of the Order of Calatrava, later passing through the hands of different noble lineages.

The monumental heritage is centered around the church of San Sebastián, declared a “Property of Cultural Interest”.

Next to it stands the Osorio Palace, built at the end of the 16th century, representative of the stately architecture of the town.

In addition, the town is home to the Francis Chapelet Foundation, dedicated to the conservation, restoration and dissemination of organ heritage.

The cultural landscape is completed by the Canal de Castilla, where the dock, the first lock of the Campos branch and the Valdeginate aqueduct are located.

The old factory, now a hotel and restaurant, exemplifies the contemporary reuse of a historic structure.
