The Carremarsilla Aqueduct is a hydraulic work of the Northern Branch of the Canal de Castilla located in the municipality of Boadilla del Camino (Palencia), at kilometer 51.015. Built between 1759 and 1804, it is part of the ambitious enlightened project that provided Castile with a key infrastructure for the organization of the territory and the management of water.
The structure allows the canal to continue over a small watercourse by means of a single semicircular arch, with a span of approximately 2.60 meters and a height of 3.80 meters. The overall dimensions are approximately 3.50 meters long, 30 meters wide, and 6.70 meters high. The design is completed by a cornice at the base of the parapets and splayed parapets at the ends, which project beyond the elevation and extend the structure to reinforce its stability. The entire aqueduct is built of limestone ashlar, a material characteristic of the Canal de Castilla due to its strength and suitability for blending into the landscape.
