The Carbajanes Aqueduct is located on the Campos Branch of the Castile Canal, in the municipality of Villaumbrales, province of Palencia, at kilometer point 88.507. Built between 1753 and 1757, it fulfills an essential function within the canal system: allowing the Corbejón stream to cross under the channel without interfering with the operation of the hydraulic waterway, guaranteeing the natural continuity of the drainage of the territory.
The structure, which remains in good condition, is achieved through a single semicircular arch, a common type due to its solidity and structural efficiency. The arch is approximately 2.60 meters long and 2.80 meters high, and is complemented by a plain impost at the base of the parapets, as well as stone abutments and parapets that channel the water and protect the structure. The overall dimensions are 4.30 meters long, 30.00 meters wide, and 5.30 meters high. It is built entirely of limestone ashlar, a material characteristic of the Canal de Castilla. The arch is located below the water level, which underscores its discreet yet essential function.
