Fuentes de Nava

Fuentes de Nava is located in the heart of Tierra de Campos, a region where the agricultural landscape and water have historically shaped settlement and human activity. The town is part of the area surrounding the Laguna de la Nava, also known as the Mar de Campos, one of the most important wetlands on the Meseta Central plateau.

The history of Fuentes de Nava is closely linked to this lagoon area, which for centuries was an economic and territorial reference for the surrounding villages and which today is interpreted and valued through the Park House, as a reference center for understanding its natural and cultural heritage.

The town’s architectural heritage is centered around its historic churches, most notably the Church of San Pedro and the Church of Santa María, one of the venues for the Campos del Renacimiento Territorial Museum, where a stunning Mudéjar coffered ceiling can be admired. Alongside these, other unique features such as the Puerta del Postigo (Postigo Gate), the Hermitage of San Miguel, and a remarkable collection of traditional architecture define the urban identity of Fuentes de Nava.

The Canal de Castilla completes this interpretation of the landscape. Along its course through the municipality, the bridge, houses, and old warehouses remain, testament to the activity linked to transport and grain storage.
