Ribas de Campos is surrounded by three major waterways: the Canal de Castilla, the Ucieza River, and the Carrión River. This location has historically shaped its landscape, its organization, and its relationship with the surrounding area, where water has always played a crucial role. A prime example is the Toja Lagoon, located next to the canal, an area of significant environmental interest.

In the town center stands out the church of San Martín de Tours, a medieval temple built in the 13th century and renovated in the 14th century, which acts as a visual and symbolic reference point for the town.

One of the most outstanding heritage sites is the Santa Cruz de Ribas monastery, a medieval foundation linked to the Franciscan presence in the Carrión valley.

Ribas de Campos also maintains a direct relationship with the Canal de Castilla, visible in such spectacular locations as Calahorra de Ribas, where the canal crosses the Carrión River and where one of the most beautiful sets of locks along its entire route is located.

Water, heritage and territory define the historical identity of Ribas de Campos.
